Do you have what it takes to heal from trauma?: s1 ep 11
Do you have trauma? Is your life imperfect? What if I told you that God can use all of those things for your good? The good news is that he not only has the power to do so, but he will.
Today we are joined by Netanya Jefferies, the leader and founder of the Healing of the Mind. A black owned and centered group that focuses on healing the trauma of women through talk therapy and community.
God doesn’t like to see us in pain. We are his children, and he loves it when we are content and satisfied. However, a life where we are always satisfied is a life without the need for our loving father. But this doesn’t mean that we have to stay in our pain. This is something that we are discussing in this episode. How do you have and heal trauma without letting it become your whole identify. ‘’Mental illness is neither a punishment from God for sin, nor a sign of His absence. ~ Nettanya Jefferies’’
This episode uses anecdotes, advice, and open honest conversation to address some of the issues that can occur as a trauma survivor. At the end of this episode, I hope that you are able to not just live in your trauma, but that you are able to have the courage to do something about it. Whether it be joining this group, or another group in your area. Don’t live another day letting your trauma control you.
